Summit Smokehouse | Our Story

Built on smoke, rooted in Mount Pleasant
Summit Smokehouse & Tap Room is Mount Pleasant's home for hand-rubbed, slow-smoked barbecue — served fresh daily alongside 20+ craft beers next door at Mountain Town Brewing Company.
The pit-master process
Every cut is hand rubbed with a secret spice blend before hitting the smoker low and slow. Brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken, tri-tip, ribs, and a jalapeño cheddar sausage made with Smith & Sons — all smoked fresh daily.

Burnt ends and beyond
The brisket burnt ends are caramelized with brown sugar, honey, and molasses — the kind of thing that stops a conversation mid-sentence. The ribs are hand-rubbed with that same secret blend and sell fast, so get here early.

Where the menu gets creative
The Smokehouse Street Corn Dip is smoked over a cherry and applewood blend, and the Pit-Master's Poutine comes loaded with Wisconsin cheese curds and Alabama white BBQ sauce. Twelve wing sauces and nine dry rubs mean there's always something new to try.

20+ taps and a full bar
Co-located with Mountain Town Brewing Company, the taproom pours 20+ rotating craft beers alongside cocktails and wine. The bar stays open an hour after the kitchen closes.

Come as you are
First-come, first-seated — no reservations, no pretense. Pet-friendly outdoor seating, a fire pit, music at the bar, and the kind of meal you'll be talking about on the drive home.
